We have had lots of interviews and a few job offers but we have not accepted anything yet. Alaska is our first choice, but they seem to be a little slow in offering us a job!! We are still trying to figure out what our second choice is. Your guess is as good as ours where we will end up. For the mean time, we are in Michigan. Anyone up for a visit with a couple of unemployed, homeless people?

Taking our time
To enjoy the weather as long as we could, we stopped multiple places on the way home. Scottsdale, Sedona, and Petrified Forest National Park were a few of our stops.
Kurt thinks he is dying.
Trisha found a cassette tape with the Lion King soundtrack on it.
He wasn't feeling the love tonight.
To avoid reaching Michigan one day earlier, we stopped in Indianapolis to see Joel and Shontel (Trisha's sister and brother) Our night had lots of laughs and included Kurt buying a drink for another guy... you will have to ask him about that.
Leaving Arizona
The day after our assignment was done, we were packed up and ready to go. Not so much ready to leave Arizona, but our time was up! Our Arizona job was done and we were kicked out of our apartment! Therefore, we decided to begin the trek back to Michigan

what a wonderful husband
Kurt knows I am a little sad to be leaving Arizona....
the weather, the pickleball, the hiking, the exploration of new places.
However, Kurt also knows that there is nothing that cheers me up more than an orange flower.
Thanks babe!
A day off...
Yesterday we took the day to explore parts of Arizona that we have not seen yet. We went north to Jerome and Prescott. This is Tuzigoot National Monument... Indian ruins from about 1100AD.
Thumb Butte hike in Prescott.

the good, the bad, and the unusual
We decided we needed a bigger vehicle to fit all our stuff in one car.
We thought this new car was pretty nice....
In only one week of owning this car, it has left us stranded with a dead battery, fails to start with certain keys, has a busted out window, and the taillight was also broken.
Needless to say, we think we have pretty bad luck.
You may be thinking, a picture of food? Our neighbor (who is a little strange) found out our car was broken into and delivered a plate of chicken and fish.
I must say, I had never thought of that response to a vandalized vehicle!

What a blessing close friends are
Kurt and I didn't realize how much we missed having friends and family to share our life with until Elise and Randy came (and left!)
Kurt thought we should show an action picture of eating snacks.
Elise didn't get the memo!

A couple of days up north...
We went to Sedona for a couple of days to view the beautiful red rock.
The views from Chapel of the Holy Cross
In the evening, we went to the seven sacred pools. They are considered one of the four vortexes in Sedona. As you can see, they were so interesting that we didn't even take a picture of them! They looked like puddles in the rock.
A little league baseball field.
I might consider getting one of my children into baseball if I had this view every night.
The boys grilled while the girls watched the sunset.
The next day, we went to the Grand Canyon. It was very cold and windy. This was the first time Randy had seen the canyon. We did the whole thing in about 2 hours!!
Back in Sedona there was sunshine
The boys are sick of pictures. Elise is still loving them.
We decided to put a little history into our vacation and visit the Montezuma castle.
These ruins are about 1,000 years old
We finished off our day with a game of Pickleball. Randy decided this was a wonderful game that he wanted to play in Grand Rapids. Anyone up for a game of Pickleball?

We have visitors!!
It has been 3 months since Elise and I have seen each other. We came out of our room ready to go... dressed exactly the same!! Great minds think alike.
Elise and Randy (Trisha's sister and brother) are here for spring break
Michiganders soaking in some well needed sunshine
It was 87 degrees and they survived! Randy looks a little hot, though
Desert flowers were beautiful
The views never cease to impress us
Goodbye to spring training
We went to the last spring training game last week. The Brewers lost (again). Kurt tells me they are supposed to be good this year. So far, I have only seen them lose. We will see, Kurt! I think they are just destined to always be bad!
